Seven years later (to-date!), she'd become the back-to-back champion of the 2026 and 2025 Boston Marathons, setting a new course record with a time of 2:17:22 in 2025. Lokedi also won the 2022 New York City Marathon in her debut, placing third in 2023, and second in 2025.

Just before the 2026 MLB trade deadline, the Chicago Cubs picked up Ryan Zeferjahn from the Angels. The Kansas Jayhawk alum is tied for third in the MLB among relievers with 75 strikeouts and his 33.6% strikeout rate is ranked top-10 in the MLB. I took this photograph of Zeferjahn in April of 2019 as an intern for the Lawrence Journal-World during a KU win over Oklahoma State. He pitched 14 strikeouts in 6 innings that game.
